Over the weekend of May 15 and 16th, volunteers from Gilroy Leadership class of 2010 and folks from the neighborhood began shaping the garden. On site at 8am Saturday morning, a quick look at the plans and work began…… first the weeds needed to be tackled and the area cleaned up. Then under the supervision of Walter Dunckel and Judy Hess, and armed with measuring tape and marking paint, the garden layout began to take shape. Setbacks, walk ways, location of in-ground and raised beds were determined, the labyrinth and location of trees were carefully marked. As work continued, the garden began to take shape.
